Decorated sign

This supermarket constitutes a kind of variation on the theme of the decorated hangar. In contrast to this archetype of commercial architecture, here it is the sign which forms the core of the edifice, its inhabited section constituting a kind of light appendage able to change in line with needs. The sign, symbolically neutral, is an improbable sculptural porch roof in concrete, composed of three angled cornices connected by a network of external stiffeners.
The squat ground-level floor, dedicated to the supermarket, also takes a triangular form, and is surrounded simply by a continuous glazed facade.
